Sr. Collaboration Engineer
The Sr. Collaboration Engineer is an exempt position that provides responsibility for the technical strategy, architecture, design, implementation, troubleshooting and operations of the Firm's Unified Communications Architecture.
Responsibilities:
o Provide strategic technical leadership in Unified Communications / Voice over IP. The Engineer will be responsible for possessing and maintaining a deep, expert level of technical awareness in the Unified Communication technology area while having a sound breadth of knowledge across all infrastructure technologies.
o Ability to analyze network activity and network related issues to discover and prevent systematic errors.
o Ability to conduct short-and long-term planning to meet current and future Unified Communications/Voice over IP requirements.
o Ability to gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency, reliability and performance of these systems.
o Check Service Desk database for entries on Collaboration/Voice issues; prioritize and respond to Service Desk tickets as appropriate.
This candidate will possess the necessary ambition, technical skill and responsibility to lead the group; this position serves as the primary technical contact between IT and the business community that utilizes the supported web applications; this position provides architectural guidance and strategic technical vision for the systems managed.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree from recognized college or university and seven plus years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience.
o At least seven to ten years of experience of information technology experience with three to five years or more of Cisco Collaboration experience. CCNP Voice certification preferred. CCIE certification a definite plus.
o Expert skills in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence Server, Jabber Client, SIP, QoS and Contact Center Express.
o Ability to define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and network diagrams for all Unified Communications equipment
o Experience implementing and maintaining Unified Communications and Voice over IP in very secure computing environments.
o Strong technical background on Cisco voice gateways and Telco configuration (ISDN / SIP).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
