Position: Accountant III Under general supervision of the Plant Controller, the staff Accountant III will be responsible for performing accounting functions covering a broad range of reconciling and analyzing a variety of balance sheet accounts. The Staff Accountant III will have working knowledge/ experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Control and will have the ability to apply standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques.   Essential Job Responcibilities: Accumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of financial statements, tax statements and other reports. Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state and local reports and tax returns. Verifies accuracy of information and recommends corrections. Assist with compiling and analyzing plant performance trends. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers. Ability to apply Job Costing methodologies that provide true manufacturing costs. Ability to participate or lead monthly inventories. Provides backup for accounting clerks. Assists Plant Controller in plant budget preparation based on input provided by other department staff.Job Requirements   Requires a proven background, record of success and proven mix of financial accounting and operational experiences. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business field with more then 7-10 years experience; CPA and or MBA preferred with strong GAAP knowledge. Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on knowledge of manufacturing systems. Experience in understanding customer and market segmentation. Leadership talents, good verbal/written communication skills as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are critical for excelling in this position. Non-Essential Job Duties:  Performs other duties that may be assigned.   Job Qualifications, Equipment and/or Experience: Basic knowledge of procedural technique or processes. Minimum 18 monthsexperience in a production/manufacturing organization. Understanding of machine function and process capability, preferred. Self directed individual. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
